Telecommunications oversees the installation, provisioning and repair of voice services in our schools and administration building.

The School District of Philadelphia utilizes a centralized Mitel phone system for the 230 school locations and an Avaya phone system for the Education Center.

On June 15, IT launched a new Telecommunications ticketing system. Tickets should still be submitted using the ‘Telecommunications’ icon in the Employee Portal. A stepper is linked below.

Need help?

For school-based room/classroom additions/changes OR repairs at any District location:

  1. Log into the Employee Portal with your District credentials.
  2. Select the “Telecommunications” application.
  3. Using the available options, submit your request.

Please refer to this stepper for more detailed instructions on submitting a service request in the IT ticketing system.

For office or work station additions/changes in the 440 Education Center:

  1. Log into the Employee Portal with your District credentials.
  2. Select the “Location Request” application.
  3. Using the available options, submit your request.
