The Board of Education Will Vote on Application to Form Multiple Charter School Organization

On Wednesday, May 1 the Philadelphia Charter Schools Office received an application to form a Multiple Charter School Organization (MCSO) from Freire Charter School.

According to the Pennsylvania Charter Law, the Board of Education most vote on the MCSO application within 45 days of receipt. The Board will schedule a special meeting to hear from public speakers and vote on the MCSO application.

The Board of Education will accept public comment on the Freire Charter Schools MCSO application beginning Tuesday, May 7, 2019 through Thursday, June 6, 2019. Comments may be submitted in writing, addressed to the Board of Education, Suite 101, 440 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130, or by email, addressed to SchoolBoard@philasd.org. All comments received will be made part of the record.
