In Spring 2019, ORE administered an end-of-year survey to 37 Reading Specialists responsible for providing additional support to K-3 students reading significantly below grade level. The survey asked Reading Specialists about their understanding of student needs, professional responsibilities, and expectations; communication, collaboration, and professional support; challenges and barriers to program implementation; and their confidence in supporting student learning.
