The District Performance Office (DPO) is responsible for driving continuous improvement in district, school, and student performance through the use of high-quality data, aligned accountability systems, strategic analytics, and cross-system data integration. Our goal is to support the continuous improvement of our schools for all children.
We achieve this goal by communicating to principals, teachers, parents, students, and community members about the successes of individual schools and the district as a whole. The primary tasks of the DPO include generating data, analyses, and reports on a number of measures at the student, school, and district levels. We aim to recognize high achievement and progress, as well as identify areas in need of support, to help improve public education in the city of Philadelphia, in accordance with the District’s Goals and Guardrails.
The District Performance Office is part of the Office of Evaluation, Research, and Accountability (ERA), which also houses the Office of Research and Evaluation (ORE), Planning and Evidence-Based Supports Office (PESO), Office of Assessment, and the Office of Data Governance (ODG).
