Academic Highlights

Student Leadership Tracks & Student Government
Student government is for students with significant improvements in attendance, behavior and/or grades. Members receive privileges or incentives, including lunches, trips to movies, student of the month recognition.

Excel South Honor Society
The top 25 students at Excel Academy South are selected by teachers and receive a number of rewards, including monthly trips.

Family Engagement
Excel Academy North has a strong focus on involving families in the Excel community and has various family engagement activities throughout the year. Events include the Back to School BBQ Night, Annual Field Day, and Parent Luncheons. In addition to events and activities, Excel Academy North also has a Parental Advisory Board that meets regularly throughout the year. Culinary Arts Program
Excel Academy South offers a unique and interactive culinary program to its students. Students are exposed to various recipes and dishes, and learn new and applicable cooking techniques that are transferable to real-world experience.
