Perryman Shoemaker and the Capital Programs Division of The School District of Philadelphia hosted a steel signing ceremony for Lewis C. Cassidy’s new school building.
The steel signing ceremony played an important role in acknowledging the collaborative efforts of various parties and generating enthusiasm for this large-scale construction project. It symbolized progress, unity, and the beginning of a new chapter in developing this new 21st-century learning environment.
This event was attended by elected officials, 24 Student Designers, School Staff, and the Construction and Design Project Teams. The event included lunch for guests, music, and an opportunity to sign a large piece of steel that will be used to top off (complete) the steel structure of the building. Two tours of the structure were conducted: one at 9 a.m. and the second at 12:45 p.m. when students were dismissed.
