Kwame has served the School District of Philadelphia for more than 15 years and was recently promoted to Senior Regional Manager for the northern half of Philadelphia. He began his career as a Per Diem School Police Officer and transitioned to the Office of Facilities and Maintenance as a Building Engineer. Kwame was later promoted to Acting Facility Area Coordinator and rose to the occasion, securing the position permanently.
Kwame grew up in the Raymond Rosen Housing Authority Homes in North Philadelphia on 23rd and Diamond Street with his mother and ten siblings. He was educated in the School District of Philadelphia before completing high school at Glen Mills School. He is currently in pursuit of his Doctorate Degree in Leadership. He holds an M.B.A. in Leadership, a B.S. in Human Resource Management, and various certifications, in addition to a recent certificate of Leadership and Management from the Wharton School of Business. In his spare time, Kwame assists with the teaching of GED classes in the community and leads a non-profit mentor program for young males.
