Michael Prete is a graduate of Masterman High School. He joined the Department of Transportation Services in 2019 as a Financial Coordinator and has a B.A. in Accounting. Michael has been very successful with managing the Parental Reimbursement Program, a program that provides a monthly payment to eligible parents who choose to opt-out of District bus, van, or cab assignment and instead will drive their child to and from school.

During the pandemic when Transportation Services faced the challenges of providing safe to/from transportation while implementing COVID-19 protocols based on guidance from federal, state, and local guidance, Miachel played a major role in the implementation and successful launch of the Flat Rate Pilot Program. Michael currently manages the Flat Rate Program which now has more than 10,000 enrolled students.
