Science Leadership at Beeber has a major heating and cooling improvement underway. The Office of Capital Programs is investing more than $22 million to improve heating and cooling throughout the building. To limit the interruption of instructional learning, many improvements will occur in the evenings and throughout the night. The goal is to maintain a clean and safe learning environment and provide the best education possible.
This project is part of the School District’s Guaranteed Energy Savings and Efficiency Initiative which includes upgrades and replacements of mechanical systems throughout the city. Schools that are part of this initiative will receive HVAC upgrades, chillers, boilers, ventilation units, and lighting upgrades.
