After 34 years of dedicated service to the School District of Philadelphia, Wayne Grasela, Senior Vice President, has earned a well-deserved retirement.

In 1987, Wayne started his career with the School District of Philadelphia in the Department of Facilities Management & Services. During his tenure, he has held many roles in Facilities before navigating his way to Food Services.

For the last 18 years, he served as the Division’s Senior VP and led a dedicated team of dietitians, logistics, compliance, operations, mechanics, and training professionals. His leadership and compassion for Philadelphia students ensured that all students would receive safe and appetizing meals at no cost.
