Philadelphia students in grades K-12 attending public, private, charter or home school in Philadelphia can participate in this year’s Green City, Clean Waters Art Contest. All they need to do is create an original drawing that shows how we all can keep Philly’s Water clean! Examples can be found in the Green City, Clean Waters Plan, Storm Drain Marking Program, and our fact sheets.
Rules for Students:
Create an original drawing that shows how we are all connected to the same river: the Delaware River! Artwork should show that our storm drains lead to the Delaware River. Please limit words to no more that 5 (“We Share the Delaware” is an encouraged phrase). Each entry MUST have a copy of the Official 2018 Entry Form filled out legibly and entirely – the form is mailed to your school and can be found on our website for download atwww.DelawareEstuary.org/2018-art-contest. Tape or paperclip the form to the back of your drawing – NO STAPLES please. Artwork must be HORIZONTAL and on 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet of paper with no lamination or protruding parts. Please do not use any trademarked phrases, logos, or images (for example, “Just Do It”, Coca Cola, or Philly Phanatic). Use any medium – crayons, markers, paint. For street displays and the calendar, color art work is preferred but not required.
