March Madness has us thinking. Reading and basketball have a lot in common. It’s fun, practice helps you get better, and one of the best ways to do it is with family and friends!
One of our favorite literacy game-changers is 76’ers Tobias Harris. When he’s not playing, you can often catch him carrying a book to and from the court. Even on game day!
And he’s made a Reading Promise to spread his love of books across Philly! Last summer, his philanthropic initiative, Tobias Lit Labs, helped give 30,000 books to young readers citywide.
So the next time you open up a story, remember Tobias’ tip: ask questions, build vocabulary, and make connections to your world.
