One of the FACE Office’s favorite parts of back to school season is the Annual Back 2 School Event, celebrating its 10th year this past August. On August 16, 2018, thousands of families, community members, and students attended the end of summer bash at School of the Future in West Philadelphia.

Thousands of backpacks stuffed with school supplies were given out, food courtesy of Wawa and Herr’s was offered, and over 100 vendors provided resources, information, and giveaways for all aspects of back to school needs.

A crowd favorite was a new addition to the event, free cuts and curls hairstyles for students, sponsored by Radio One. Dozens of kids had their hair done by professional barbers and hair stylists to look fresh for the new school year.
