We are all home more than ever, and we’ve all noticed an increase in our snacking habits. However, instead of getting down on ourselves and feeling guilty, we want to encourage you to make the most of your snacks and choose to add in nutrients and balance! Try these tips to revamp snack time for you and your family:
- Cut up fruits and veggies ahead of time for easy access in your fridge
- Keep a snack bag of dried fruit (like raisins or cranberries) in your purse or desk
- Try whole-grain crackers with hummus or whole-grain tortilla chips with salsa
- Don’t get distracted and overeat – savor your snack and put down your phone or turn off the TV
- As a rule of thumb, aim to eat 3 meals and 2 snacks a day
