Dave Vengels is a passionate, creative, and energetic Technology Program Specialist and educator who works, out of Central Office, with school-based staff, including administrators, teachers, instructional support and non-instructional support staff to integrate technology into instruction school-based operational support programs.

 

Dave believes that technology plays an integral role in 21st century education. Professional development, training, in-classroom coaching, and support for systems and applications, are critical to the effective use of the technology in our schools.

Dave has worked in the Office of Educational Technology for three years. He has 1 year experience as a Consulting Teacher (New Teacher Coach), and 16 years experience as a classroom teacher teaching 1st grade, 6th grade, 7th grade and 8th grade. He taught primarily Math and Science, and was a Technology Teacher Leader for 7 years.

Dave has a masters degree in education from Holy Family University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from Holy Family University. He also earned his ELL Certification from Penn State University.
Dave is married to his amazing wife Kellen, and has 3 sons. He is an avid sports fan (4 for 4).
