Cindy Catapano started her teaching career at Philadelphia Performing Arts: a String Theory Charter School, teaching high school Mathematics. In addition to teaching, she coached girls’ soccer and softball and was also a yearbook advisor.
Before joining the Office of Educational Technology in 2018, you would find Cindy studying abroad in Galway, Ireland, and earning her MA in Educational Technology through Michigan State University; Go Green! Her passion for Educational Technology sparked while working at String Theory, and being part of an Apple Distinguished School. As she moves forward, her passion for Digital Literacy and Computer Science continues to grow, and she hopes to share it with her colleagues and students in the School District of Philadelphia.
In addition to working as a Technology Integration Specialist for the School District of Philadelphia, Cindy spends her free time with her wife, Miranda, and their two dogs, BooBoo and Goose. You can find them traveling somewhere new for the weekend, spending time with their family, tackling a new project, or just sipping on some coffee.
