Taheerah is a Philadelphia native, and has worked in the School District of Philadelphia for many years. She began as a Computer Support Specialist for PSTV and Ed Tech through the Urban Technology Project, specializing in Digital Multimedia. She then began volunteering support for UTP, which turned into a full-time position as the Program Coordinator. Following her success as the Program Coordinator at UTP, Taheerah became the AmeriCorps Program Supervisor, supporting school-based pre-apprentices. Taheerah is now the Technical Operations Coordinator, in the Office of Educational Technology, where she manages the District’s 1:1 Chromebook Initiative.
