Eric Becker brings 10 years of experience to the Office of Educational Technology as a former teacher and instructional coach. Originally from Syracuse, NY, Eric began his teaching career as a Chemistry teacher in Houston, TX where he quickly began to integrate technology in order to improve both student engagement and mastery.

After four years in Houston, Eric attended the University of Pennsylvania where he received his master’s degree in Learning Sciences and Technologies (LST). UPenn equipped Eric with the knowledge and confidence to return to the classroom and implement even more technology and innovative teaching practices. Specifically, Eric “flipped” his classroom through the use of multiple tools; including Edpuzzle, GoGuardian, Flipgrid, and many more.

Eric is excited to join the School District of Philadelphia and he looks forward to collaborating with teachers to design engaging, creative, and tech-rich lessons.
