Students under CTE’s Computer Systems Networking program at West Philadelphia High School have partnered with the District’s IT Department to receive Chromebook repair training. The students, under the guidance of Marie Wilkins-Walker, were trained by members of the IT Department to replace screens, fans, and speakers as well as doing preventive maintenance. Students were also trained in ordering the necessary replacement parts, and now run their own Chromebook Repair Center in school. This is a great partnership, as it reduces costs from ordering new Chromebooks.
