The Office of Classification and Compensation is here to provide employees with access to and information about job descriptions, salaries and pay rates.
We also provide assistance with the job requisition database. So if you are looking to hire someone for the central office, we can help you create your requisition, and provide training on how to submit the requisition. We provide the following services:
Pay Rate
- Administration of the District’s compensation program
- Maintenance of the District’s pay plan
- Performance of job audits, evaluations and benchmark analysis
- System set-up and maintenance of all position-related information including tables which impact pay, benefit and leave provisions for all employees
- Conducting market and equity studies
- Providing compensation-related guidelines, tools and information
- Processing of payroll Adjustment to Gross forms (S-324)
- Processing of requests for Extra-Curricular, Staff Development, Evening or Summer Activities forms (S-313/316)
Job Descriptions
- Reclassification of existing positions when duties have changed
- Creation and/or updating of job descriptions for filled or vacant positions
- Assistance and guidance with departmental reorganizations
- Advising activity managers regarding promotions, new hires, upgrades, new and revised position changes
