Inclement Weather Update: Two-Hour Delay February 12

Dear School District of Philadelphia Families,
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory which is in effect from 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11 to 7 a.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2025. The warning is for snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches, which can cause slippery roads and hazardous conditions.
We understand the safety concerns of our District community. Due to the inclement weather, all school programs and activities, as well as the District’s administrative offices including the Constance E. Clayton Education Center, will operate on a two-hour delay. All late arrivals due to weather-related issues recorded tomorrow, February 12, 2025 will be excused. We encourage students, families, and staff to travel safely tomorrow morning.
Parents and guardians should plan for possible delays with the District’s yellow bus services and on SEPTA’s subway, trolley and bus routes. If you anticipate delays or have questions or concerns, please reach out to your child’s principal or school.
In partnership,
Tony B. Watlington Sr., Ed.D.
Superintendent
The School District of Philadelphia
