Dear School District of Philadelphia Community,
On November 15, the School District of Philadelphia shared updates on the initial steps in Phase 8 of the Facilities Plan, and launched the Facilities Planning Process Advisory Application for parents and guardians, community members, and District staff. You can review that update here.
Today we are announcing another avenue for families, students, staff, and community members to provide their feedback and input the School Building Stakeholder Feedback Survey. Through the survey, which will close at 11:59pm on December 31, 2024, you can provide your thoughts on the condition of current buildings, how you would prioritize different possible improvements, and more. There is also an opportunity to share general feedback and insights. Making space for the voices of our stakeholders is critical as we work to develop a plan that addresses the condition and utilization of our facilities in a way that helps to improve academic achievement and supports communities.
We hope that you will take advantage of an opportunity to participate in the Facilities Planning Process either by completing the survey, participating in an upcoming Community Listening Session, or by submitting an application for a spot on an advisory group. Applications are available here and will be open until 11:59pm on December 2, 2024.
I am extremely grateful to each and every School District of Philadelphia community member who has already taken the time to participate in this important process. Thank you in advance for completing the survey, participating in a Community Listening Session, and/or applying to an Advisory Group. And thank you for being involved in addressing the needs of our students and school communities. To learn more about the facilities planning process, please visit www.philasd.org/fpp.
Sincerely,
Oz Hill
Deputy Superintendent of Operations
