PHILADELPHIA — The School District of Philadelphia, in partnership with AASA, The School Superintendents Association, Triway International Group, and China Educational Association of International Exchange, welcomed principals, educators and administrators from China to Philadelphia classrooms Wednesday, Sept. 18, as part of AASA’s educational exchange program.
As part of the program, earlier this year, administrators from the District visited China to observe K-12 school classes, demonstrate teaching skills and engage in a variety of activities. Administrators from China experienced American schools by visiting Middle Years Alternative (MYA) School and Northeast High School.
The program provided a platform for participants of both countries to share experiences and views on topics of common interest, such as school administration and teaching methodology. Sister agreements between schools and districts were also explored.
