The School District of Philadelphia is committed to serving all parents and students well.
We also want to ensure that all students in the District understand school uniform policies and have the required textbooks they need for their core subject classes. If you have questions or concerns about textbooks or school uniforms, we ask that you observe the following procedures.
- Parents and students who have questions or concerns about textbooks or uniforms should first contact the Parent Ombudsman at your school.
- For specific questions about school uniforms, click here!
- If further action is needed about textbooks or the school uniform policy, your next step is to contact your school principal.
- If your questions or concerns remain unresolved, you can call the Superintendent's Parent Ombudsman at 215-400-6161 or send her an e-mail at superintendent@philasd.org.
