Just a friendly reminder to all parents and guardians: report card conferences are scheduled for April 4th and 5th, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM EST. This is an excellent opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and academic performance with their teachers. Your participation is highly valued in ensuring your child’s success. We look forward to seeing you there!

Whenever significant announcements or updates arise, they will be promptly disseminated through this platform. We encourage thorough exploration of our website to avail oneself of the myriad of resources offered as well.

A Message from our Principal:

Dear Scholars and Families,

First and foremost, I hope that everyone is enjoying their summer and is staying safe. I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year at Edward T. Steel School. I am happy and eager to see you all next Tuesday 9/5/2023.

The school day officially begins at 8:50 AM with breakfast starting at 8:35 AM. Students who want breakfast must arrive between 8:35 – 9:00.
The school day ends at 3:33 PM from the back entrance near the playground.
Kindergarten students from 9/5 – 9/11 dismiss at 1:30 PM
To begin I want to share our mission which guides everything that we do.

The mission at Edward T. Steel School is : “At Steel Elementary School, all scholars will be empowered with the academic and personal skills needed to pursue their dreams and achieve postsecondary success.”

The vision of Edward T. Steel School is to be a school with a culture that is characterized by clearly articulated achievement goals that are met through nurturing* our scholars and providing structure, consistency, & rigor in the learning environment.
